After
logging more than 6,000 hours of live TV appearances,
crisscrossing the country working with designers,
celebrities and fashion icons, Kim Parrish not
only evolved into one of America's most recognizable
shopping hosts on QVC,
she discovered a universal dilemma that held true
for herself, her audiences and even the celebrities
she interviewed
women want a limitless wardrobe
on a limited budget. In 2005 she finalized plans
for a signature clothing line that would address
this critical void in the marketplace with common
sense
and fashion sense. After four successful
years on HSN,
Kim has expanded the collection. It is now available
on ShopNBC,
QVCUK,
and TSC
- The Shopping Channel.
Touted
as a "shopping goddess" by the media,
Kim has been featured in hundreds of articles
from TV Guide to The New York Times.
Known for her sense of style, Kim developed rapport
with viewers as well as celebrity guests, and
has worked with fashion trendsetters including
Joan Rivers, Kathie Lee Gifford, Bob Mackie, Nolan
Miller and Phillip Bloch. Kim is also featured
as the style editor for West Virginia Living
and Prerogative magazines.
As
a former Miss West Virginia, Kim took over Miss
America's teen brand in 2007 and is working to
develop it into the leading provider of scholarships
for teenage girls in the nations. To date, Miss
America's Outstanding Teen has awarded more
than $3 million dollars in college scholarships.
In
2009, Kim's new children's book, The Snapdragon
Princess, launched, and a portion of the proceeds
will go towards Miss America's Outstanding Teen.
In September 2009, Happy at Home, Happy at
Work from best selling authors of the Girl's
Guides, Kimberly Yorio and Caitlin Freidman,
hit the stands featuring Kim as a contributor
giving tips and advice on how to balance work
and family.
Kim
has hosted numerous long-running infomercials,
trained top celebrity guests for the TV Shopping
networks, worked on sales strategy for most of
the leading brands on TV Shopping today and has
hosted some of the most successful launches, fundraisers
and events.
